Im back in the land of kangaroos, steve irwins spirit, neighbours, etc etc ... So is flappie.
And we love it.
Im looking at houses, ive applied for a uni-type course, and a possible job, sought out the child's child care, and thiungs are progressing and moving foreward. Making this change worth the pain, hassle, trouble, and more and more deep deep pain.
Wish it wasnt like this.
As long as i do the right thing to make my life right and make the hard decision worthwhile.

But we are alive. and safe. fyi

Moving

Gimmic

Got word late Tuesday that our new apartment was ready, so in the last two days we've been in the process of moving. Maybe I'll post some photos later but for now we're still not done with curtains/blinds and light fittings and general mess, since we bought some furniture that needed assembling.

canies good friend, a furniture tradesman by profession, assured us that the (cheap) wardrobe we bought was on par with Ikea in terms of quality, or lack thereof. The wretched thing took hours to assemble and there's a problem with one of the double-end screw things - it is roughly 1 mm too short to lock in at both ends. We actually bought a wardrobe double the price of one we first looked at, the only difference between the wardrobes being 25cm extra height on the one we got. Here I was thinking that paying double for something so similar must mean that the quality was less questionable. Ah well, we will find out in a couple of weeks when a friend moves house. He's bought the shorter wardrobe for his new apartment and paid half of what we did. Perhaps he's the smarter one?

The other day Horris died. We knew it was going to happen, we just didn't know it would be so soon, we hoped it wouldn't be just yet. He's been slowing down for some time now, not doing what he should have been doing.

Progress.

He was discharged and came home Friday afternoon. I spoke to one of his carers about my feelings on the matter - I was worried that little or no progress had been made, and of course coming home meant access to computer, phone, internet, and - the main issue - the girl again.

The person  spoke to assured me that:
1. He will continue to be followed, now by a mobile team that comes and visits etc etc. He will be seeing the district psych people, who are recommended, as opposed to his previous psychiatrist, who the local government had recommended AGAINST using.
2. Under clear questioning, he had admitted where his 'warm feelings' lie (with me), though he had said enjoys talking with the girl online as she gets him better than I do / is going through similar things.

Progress?

He got admitted to a psych place today. Was badly in need of it for some time anyway. The relationship troubles are still there, and no doubt connected to his poor mental health.

He says he is working at pulling away from this online girl. If the logs are anything to go by, their relationship is more than blossoming. They are becoming more and more dependent on each other, in an unhealthy way. He is not well mentally, and she doesn't seem much better. They are pulling each other down, supporting each other and even to the point where he volunteers to commit suicide with her.

You may not have noticed it but for the past week I've not been here. I lost my internet connection due to getting a centralised heating system.

Not a happy Gimmic

Life is very busy lately. I go off to work, canie to school, and when we're finally home again, we each do our own thing. I've been leaving him to his studies, knowing he'd get grumpy with me for interrupting.

I hadn't imagined that he'd feel neglected instead and find a girl online, develop feelings for her, and then tell me a month ago, he didn't love me anymore and he didn't think I loved him either. It was the surprise of my life.

Spotting the goblin moving slowly through the heavy snowfall, the hunter draws an arrow from his quiver and pulls the bowstring tight.  The goblin is downed with a single shot.
