Got word late Tuesday that our new apartment was ready, so in the last two days we've been in the process of moving. Maybe I'll post some photos later but for now we're still not done with curtains/blinds and light fittings and general mess, since we bought some furniture that needed assembling.
canies good friend, a furniture tradesman by profession, assured us that the (cheap) wardrobe we bought was on par with Ikea in terms of quality, or lack thereof. The wretched thing took hours to assemble and there's a problem with one of the double-end screw things - it is roughly 1 mm too short to lock in at both ends. We actually bought a wardrobe double the price of one we first looked at, the only difference between the wardrobes being 25cm extra height on the one we got. Here I was thinking that paying double for something so similar must mean that the quality was less questionable. Ah well, we will find out in a couple of weeks when a friend moves house. He's bought the shorter wardrobe for his new apartment and paid half of what we did. Perhaps he's the smarter one?
