Back Down Under

Im back in the land of kangaroos, steve irwins spirit, neighbours, etc etc ...
So is flappie.
And we love it.

Im looking at houses, ive applied for a uni-type course, and a possible job, sought out the child's child care, and thiungs are progressing and moving foreward. Making this change worth the pain, hassle, trouble, and more and more deep deep pain.

Wish it wasnt like this.

I went to a park today and played some basketball with a few friends, it was fun. There was a climbing frame and swings so we climbed and swung,

Went back to one of their houses and played some cards in the sum, it was good, won some, lost some.

The thing is I woke this morning feeling like my head was filled with lumpy mash potato and my nose was running. I had a nose bleed at lunch time when blowing it and now my head is throbing.

Return to Australia ?!

Tomorrow, after 7 months of waiting, i will have my little plastic official version of the belgian residency card. I will then be official.

This is great news and we can now go for a loan at the bank.

To send flappie and myself back to Australia.

Got word late Tuesday that our new apartment was ready, so in the last two days we've been in the process of moving. Maybe I'll post some photos later but for now we're still not done with curtains/blinds and light fittings and general mess, since we bought some furniture that needed assembling.

The other day Horris died. We knew it was going to happen, we just didn't know it would be so soon, we hoped it wouldn't be just yet. He's been slowing down for some time now, not doing what he should have been doing.

Thats why I've not been here for a few days.

He was discharged and came home Friday afternoon. I spoke to one of his carers about my feelings on the matter - I was worried that little or no progress had been made, and of course coming home meant access to computer, phone, internet, and - the main issue - the girl again.

He got admitted to a psych place today. Was badly in need of it for some time anyway. The relationship troubles are still there, and no doubt connected to his poor mental health.

He says he is working at pulling away from this online girl. If the logs are anything to go by, their relationship is more than blossoming. You may not have noticed it but for the past week I've not been here. I lost my internet connection due to getting a centralised heating system.

Yes my house is now slightly to warm, which is much warmer than it was previously. The only thing is. I've turned the net on this morning to find myself with .5mb connected. Its less than 512KB for the sake of the gods!

Life is very busy lately. I go off to work, canie to school, and when we're finally home again, we each do our own thing. I've been leaving him to his studies, knowing he'd get grumpy with me for interrupting.

Everytime I have had to rely on a dwarf to get me through a quest I've been lead down. They either run in wihtout though of others in their fellowship, or don't bother coming to your rescue. And if things go wrong, they blame every one else.

Ah the joys of the weather being so bitterly cold, you can't walk anywhere without slipping every other step. The thing is, I don't mind that it is snowing once again but the other night when I was comming home from a comedy gig I slipped and hit the road.
