Hello! Im StarDust. Im Australian and my dutch is ... well i dont consider my "dutch" real. Infact im useless. Id rather underestimate myself than overestimate my dutch as i may get in trouble when im looking for a job.
Yesterday Gundam and I went to visit his employment agency with some questions about his job... on a whim we asked about a job for me ...
her reply... NO JOKE...
"well we are looking for native english speakers to call to australia"
WHAT! yes
they are looking for native english speakers to call to australia ....
IM AUSTRALIAN! i live in the area!

funny huh.. a belgian company emplying english speaking (not very much dutch skills) to call to my country which is on the other side of the world!
to do what....
to call the hospitals and do surveys about the equiptment and drugs they use to see if something can be improved... oh my goodness!
well..
i can call people!
i can talk!
i like surveys!
ive been to hospital!
(infact i plan to study in the medical field in the near future)
My job history does compomise telemarketing work so thats good
and IM AUSTRALIAN~ that has to be a plus
the catch? its working at night...
the plus ? gunny can look after flappie when im working!!!!!

all i have to do is send in my resume and she will hook me up with an interview!

The catch sounds a little harsh, but if you can work 3 or 4 days (or nights in this case) it should be doable!
Some tips: rest your voice as much as you can when you're continually calling and talking. Stay away from smoking and smokers. Drink tea with honey and try not to drink too much milk if your throat is sore.

No babysitters network around you yet? It helps if you have 2-3 regular babysitters. Maybe neighbours, or neighbour's kids?

My first overseas job was a telephone job, calling back home :p
